The beautiful Botanic Gardens are part of Utrecht University and located at the heart of Utrecht Science Park. Here you can hear the sound of splashing water and buzzing insects while you are walking between hundreds of flowers and plants. This extraordinary stretch of green space covers nines hectares and is open to the public every day from March 1 until December 1. You can visit a rock garden, an evolution garden, tropical greenhouses, a birders den and much more! There is a possibility to arrange a guided tour and you can also visit the Garden Shop and Café, where you can purchase a wide range of gardening products or enjoy a drink and something to eat. The café serves a selection of delicious pastries, sandwich rolls and fresh soups and uses mostly organic ingredients. The Botanic Gardens belong to the oldest Dutch university gardens and are used as a dreamy festival location all year round.
