If you are a fan of religious art, the Museum Catharijne Convent is definitely a must-visit for you! With both a catholic and a protestant collection, the Museum holds a varied collection of exceptional historical (art) objects that tell the fascinating story of present and past Christianity in the Netherlands. The museum itself is located close to the Domchurch, in a charming medieval monastery that was dedicated to Saint Catharine of Alexandria. Having 24 beds, the monastery was the largest hospital of the city of Utrecht in the fifteenth century, making it the predecessor of the current UMC Utrecht.
