The Centraal Museum in Utrecht is the oldest municipal museum of the Netherlands, which manages a varied collection of art, history of the city, fashion and applied art. The museum is located in a former medieval monastery, consisting of multiple buildings and a beautiful courtyard. You can wander around the hallways and stairways while you let all different expositions surprise you. A special part of the museum is the Nijntje museum and the workplace of Dick Bruna, the creator and writer of the Nijntje booklets. Since Nijntje is a special symbol of the city of Utrecht, these parts of the museum can’t be missed.
