Beautiful and busy
The university library in the city centre hosts hundreds of students daily, who come here to study in peace. Due to its central location and students’ general desire to study in libraries, finding a spot can be tricky during exam periods. Once you find your spot however, this library offers no limits to your productivity!
During the 19th century Lodewijk Bonaparte, the brother of the legendary french army general, owned the building known today as Drift 27. Now it serves as the entrance to the library, making your study session all the more interesting as you work amidst historical artifacts that have lived through revolutionary times.
When visiting the library, you can park your bike in the bicycle park under the courtyard at the Wittevrouwenstraat, which has a capacity of 700 bikes. From the parking, there is an indoor passage to the library.
