Dear Students and Mentors,
Thank you for participating in this year’s edition of the Orientation. It was quite the challenge, but also a pleasure, to work on an online format in order to provide all of the new international UU students with the information they need to get started in Utrecht.
The Covid-19 pandemic, and the world’s attempt to slow down the spread of the virus, has changed the way in which many people meet, interact, and share. The Orientation is one of many events that had to adapt to this situation, which has forced us to think of new ways in which we can provide you with a successful start of your student time at Utrecht University.
The Orientation aims to do two things: to inform new students, and to help new students connect. We hope you feel that the Orientation has given you both these things. We have experienced some technical hick-ups and unforeseen difficulties due to the challenging circumstances during the last three days. We apologise for this but we hope that you have had a great experience nonetheless.
For tonight and the weekend, we have not organised anything for you. If you are not advised to self-quarantine, we would like to encourage you to explore the city for yourself or to enjoy a nice small-scale picnic with some of your group members or fellow students! You can take a look at the Explore the City section of our website for some great locations. Please keep in mind all Dutch corona measures when meeting each other.
We would like to know your opinion about the Orientation! If you have five minutes to spare, it would be much appreciated if you could help us improve the event for the coming years by filling out this evaluation form.
